Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers visits Mequon firing range to hear more about Safe Gun Program
WUWM - January 14, 2025 -- Governor Tony Evers paid a visit to Bear Arms Indoor Shooting Range in Mequon on Tuesday to learn more about the range’s Safe Gun Storage Program. “Safe Gun” was designed to help veterans who are coping with severe psychological issues and everyday pressures a chance to “cool off” by turning in their firearms for up to 90 days in safe storage. Bear Arms has been an ardent supporter of the Safe Gun Storage Program since 2021. The program also plays an integral role in the governor’s overall plans to further prevent violence throughout Wisconsin. Read the article here.
